Up next on the schedule:
Due to the current health concerns that we all know about, and the new order about all dine in restaurants and bars being closed, we obviously won't be able to hold any beginner classes, monthly meetings, or other events as scheduled for the foreseeable future.
If you ordered a club shirt, I will hold on to them until we can meet again unless you want to swing by my work and pick them up (message me directly about scheduling a day if so).
If you have signed up and paid for beginner classes you can either just wait until they can be rescheduled and attend or I can give you a refund. I will have a beginner class as soon as it's possible.
As an alternative to having meeting I will attempt to do some sort of meeting videos, or smaller topic specific videos; and post them on this groups fb site, my personal "The Bearded Bee" fb site, as well as on both of the regular websites associated with both these pages. Please let our non fb beekeeper friends know this information as well because we do have some of them out there that have web access, but stay away from fb. Also, please share this post and get the word out so we don't miss anybody.
As always you can shoot me a message if you have a specific question. Text, email, or fb messenger are best. I hate playing phone tag and have a spotty signal at best at home, so leaving a voicemail is the best way for me to forget to respond to you at all. If I can read your question I can give you a more thoughtful answer too.
By it's nature beekeeping is a social distancing hobby, or a one on one with a mentor hobby. Take advantage of the extra time you will have at home and really work on building up your hive numbers this spring. If you don't know how to build your own equipment, now might be the time to start learning. Don't forget about buying from your local suppliers at this time more than ever for all those other supplies.
We'll eventually get back to normal at some point, the meetings will start back up, and I'll get some events thrown together. Just hang in there and enjoy working with your bees this season. I'll keep you updated here about the alternative learning plans when I settle on a path forward here shortly. Thanks everyone!
